Our personal possessions are important to us and usually add up to a considerable amount which is why it's important to have the right insurance cover in place. Your policy includes:

a 10% discount if your house is fitted with an alarm
temporary accommodation cover up to six months or $20,000, whichever is less, including boarding of domestic cats and dogs
home office cover up to $15,000 (eg non-personal items such as computers, phones etc)
cover for high value items which are stated on your policy, such as jewellery and money
cover for keys and locks up to $500
up to $1,000,000 in legal liability cover
cover of up to $5,000 for belongings when in Pacific Islands/Australia

Plus get a further 10% discount on your HSBC Contents Insurance if you have your owner occupied home insurance with HSBC Home Insurance.

All amounts are in New Zealand Dollars.
