What can I do?

Through the call centre you can do the following:

  • General enquiries about HSBC services and products, including Home Loans
  • Speak to a Customer Service Representative in English, Mandarin or Cantonese
  • Check account balances & transactions
  • Transfer funds between your HSBC accounts (with the exception of non transactional loan accounts or term deposits)
  • Make third party payments
  • Check exchange rates on certain currencies
  • Check the latest term deposit rates for New Zealand Dollar term deposits
  • Set up or renew your term deposits
  • Seek advice on Internet and Phone Banking
  • Order an ATM Card or PIN
  • Order a phone banking PIN
  • Order a cheque book
  • Order statements
  • Update your account details

 

To sign up for the service:

  • If you are opening a new HSBC account, please tick "Yes" to the question on your application form which asks if you require Automated PhoneBanking.
  • If you have an existing HSBC account, please call our Direct Service Centre on 0800 80 23 80.

You will receive a 10 digit PhoneBanking number and a 6 digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) to ensure the privacy and security of your PhoneBanking transactions.

All transactions done via Automated PhoneBanking will be subject to our standard fees and charges.

Automated PhoneBanking Bill Payments

You can pay your bills at any time and place that is convenient for you via HSBC's Automated PhoneBanking. We have over 230 pre-registered payees ready to receive your automatic bill payments*. To set up these pre-registered payees so you can pay your bills by phone, please call us on 0800 80 23 80 and one of our Customer Service Representatives will take you through the process of setting these up.


You can also set up Automated PhoneBanking bill payments to companies or individuals not on our list of pre-registered payees*. To set up automatic bill payments to any of these companies or individuals, please call us on 0800 80 23 80 - and one of our Customer Service Representatives will take you through the process of setting these up.
