If you are planning to move offshore, we'll provide you with the international account opening documentation you require and arrange for the accounts to be set up, before you leave New Zealand (subject to that country's terms and conditions or we can provide you with contact details of the HSBC International Banking Centre in the country you are travelling to, to open your account).

Our offshore account opening service is also subject to The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited operating as a bank in that country or HSBC holding a Securities Act exemption notice to open bank or call accounts with other HSBC offshore banks. HSBC can currently open additional bank or call accounts for you from our International Banking Centre with HSBC Bank plc in the United Kingdom, HSBC Bank Australia Limited in Australia and HSBC Bank USA, NA. in the United States of America.
