
HSBC Global Unit Trusts provide exposure to a range of equity investments from exciting emerging markets such as China, India, Russia and Brazil.
HSBC Global Unit Trusts are a selection of funds which invest primarily in shares of a sub-fund of HSBC Global Investment Funds (an investment company incorporated in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg). The Funds' investments into the sub-funds provide exposure to emerging equity markets.
The offshore sub-funds are managed by HSBC Global Investment Funds (Luxembourg) S.A., part of HSBC Global Asset Management, with US$ 90 billion funds under management (31 December 2009) are amongst the largest managers of emerging market funds worldwide.

HSBC BRIC Fund
The HSBC BRIC Fund offers investors access to the potentially exciting long term investment opportunities that exist within Brazil, Russia, India and China 'BRIC' stock markets.
The investment strategy and objective of the HSBC BRIC Fund is to invest primarily in shares of HSBC Global Investment Funds - BRIC Markets Equity, a Sub-Fund of HSBC Global Investment Funds. The Sub-Fund mainly invests in equity and equity equivalent securities of companies listed on a major stock exchange or other regulated market in Brazil, Russia, India and China (including Hong Kong SAR) ("BRIC") as well as companies which carry out a predominant part of their business activities in these countries. Within each BRIC country, the Fund seeks to outperform the total return performance of the relevant indices.

HSBC China Fund
The HSBC China Fund offers investors access to one of the world's fastest growing economies through a diversified portfolio of Chinese shares.
The investment strategy and objective of the HSBC China Fund is to invest primarily in shares of HSBC Global Investment Funds - Chinese Equity, a Sub-Fund of HSBC Global Investment Funds. The Sub-Fund seeks long-term capital growth mainly through a diversified portfolio of investments in equity and equity equivalent securities of companies listed on a major stock exchange or other regulated market of the People's Republic of China ("China"), including Hong Kong SAR, as well as companies which carry out a predominant part of their business activities in China.

The investment strategy and objective of the HSBC Asia ex Japan Fund is to invest primarily in shares of HSBC Global Investment Funds - Asia ex Japan Equity, a Sub-Fund of HSBC Global Investment Funds. The Sub-Fund seeks long-term capital growth mainly through a diversified portfolio of investments in equity and equity equivalent securities of companies which have their registered office in, and with an official listing on a major stock exchange or other regulated market, of any Asian country (ex Japan), as well as companies which carry out a predominant part of their business activities in the Asian (ex Japan) region.

The HSBC Global Unit Trusts are only available to HSBC Premier customers. Eligibility criteria apply to HSBC Premier.
The minimum investment for each fund is NZ$10,000.

Each of the Funds invests primarily in shares of a particular sub-fund of HSBC Global Investment Funds (each a "Sub-Fund"), which is an investment company incorporated in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Units in the Global Unit Trusts are distributed by HSBC and are issued by HSBC Investments New Zealand Limited. The terms and conditions set out in the Global Unit Trusts Investment Statement and Prospectus apply, which are available free of charge at any HSBC office.
