David JH Griffiths is CEO of HSBC New Zealand.
Mr Griffiths has held a variety of management posts, primarily in Corporate Banking in the Middle East, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand and Hong Kong. From 2002 to 2005 he served as CEO of HSBC Bangladesh and from February 2005 to March 2008 he was CEO of HSBC Sri Lanka and Maldives.
He began his career with HSBC as an International Management trainee in London in 1974.
Murray Beatson is Deputy CEO of the New Zealand business and its Chief Risk Officer.
Murray joined HSBC in 1987 in Wellington, as a Corporate Banking Manager. In 1988 he became Manager Auckland Branch and in 1998 was appointed Head of Credit.
As Chief Risk Officer, Murray heads the Risk team which has functional responsibility for managing risk across the Bank in New Zealand, including the Credit-related risk of its wholesale, and retail businesses, and all Operational risk including fraud etc.
He began his banking career at The National Bank, which he joined straight from school, progressing through various Branch and Head Office positions, including Personal Assistant to the General Manager, Controller's Assistant in the Advances Department (equivalent of HSBC's Credit Risk Management), Manager of the Wellington Manners Street retail Branch, and Business Development Manager for that bank nationally.

Trevor Pye is Head of Global Markets for HSBC New Zealand.
Trevor joined HSBC in 1993 and has worked in the Global Markets business in a number of roles. Trevor was initially employed as a Senior Corporate Sales Person dealing with leading New Zealand corporates before moving on to become Head of the Treasury Sales team in 2002. In 2006 Trevor was appointed Treasurer with responsibility for the Global markets business in New Zealand. In this role he is responsible for Sales and trading, Balance Sheet management and debt finance for New Zealand. Trevor has over 20 years experience in the financial markets with his career starting back in 1987.
Trevor has a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance from Auckland University (Dip.Bus Finance) and is a member of the Institute of Finance Professionals NZ Inc and the NZ Financial Markets Association. Trevor represents HSBC on the board of the NZ Financial Markets Association.
John Barclay is Head of Personal Financial Services in New Zealand. In this role he has responsibility for both services and sales distribution of the PFS business unit.
Mr Barclay joined HSBC in New Zealand in July 1998 as a Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking, Auckland which involved increasing HSBC's presence in the corporate banking market. In July 2006 he was appointed to the role of Senior Commercial Banking Manager, Auckland.
Prior to joining HSBC, Mr Barclay worked for Standard Chartered bank in London, initially as Assistant Financial Controller of the Treasury function and subsequently as a member of the corporate banking team.
His professional qualifications include a B.Com (Accounting) University of Otago and he is a Chartered Accountant.
Brent Malcolm heads HSBC's Corporate Banking division covering New Zealand-based corporates and large commercial businesses together with multinationals with New Zealand interests or operations.
Mr Malcolm joined HSBC in 1995 as Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking, Christchurch where he helped support a substantial increase in HSBC's corporate presence in the South Island. He subsequently moved to HSBC's Auckland office as a Senior Relationship Manager in Corporate Banking and later became Head of Commercial Banking.
He holds a BCom (Accounting) from the University of Otago and is a Chartered Accountant.
Matthew Heads up the HSBC New Zealand Service Delivery team, with overall responsibility for the operational activities supporting both personal and corporate clients, as well as the business operations for purchasing, procurement and property services.
Mr Pausina joined HSBC in 1990 working for a number of years in the Auckland Trade Finance and Personal Financial Services divisions. In 1998, he relocated to HSBC's Asia Pacific Head Office in Hong Kong, undertaking various project management, global resourcing and process re-engineering positions where he instigated and implemented significant change projects.
He returned to HSBC New Zealand in 2006, holding various senior operational roles, with an emphasis on building best practice banking operations.
