Premier banking for your children, peace of mind for you
Give your children and grandchildren the head start they
need in life with HSBC Premier Explorer1. With this account
your children will be able to enjoy many of the benefits you
receive as an HSBC Premier customer.
With HSBC Premier Explorer, your child will earn interest on their savings to help provide a foundation for future savings growth. Furthermore, your HSBC Premier Relationship Manager will be available to them in order to provide the same high quality premier service you receive.
The HSBC Premier Explorer account is opened in your name on behalf of your child giving you full control. From the age of eleven your child can then have the account in their own name and operate the account themselves with full access through ATM, EFTPOS and Internet Banking.
ATM & Recognition Card
- A Recognition Card will be provided to each HSBC Premier Explorer account holder who is under eleven years old. When the account holder turns eleven, they are entitled to receive an HSBC Premier ATM card which allows full access through branch and ATM networks.
Opening an account for your child
- You can easily open an account on behalf of any of your children or grandchildren under 25 years of age at any one of New Zealand's HSBC branches.
Child heading on an OE?
- Whatever their reason for going abroad - be it for study, work or simply to travel the world - HSBC Premier Explorer provides them with an account suited to their needs. Wherever they plan on heading, with around 7,500 offices in over 80 countries and territories, you can be sure that they'll find an HSBC branch where they can enjoy world class premier service - be it Auckland, London or New York. Our global safety net includes an emergency assistance service whereby your child can have full access to any of our Premier lounges around the world.
HSBC Premier Explorer features
HSBC Premier Explorer offers your child a number of benefits, with no monthly service fees, no EFTPOS fees and no ATM fees when using HSBC or Westpac ATMs within New Zealand. HSBC Premier Explorer provides the account holder with:
- Fee-free online banking2
- No monthly service fee2
- Unlimited number of electronic transactions2
- If your child is over eleven, they can have instant access to the account through ATM, EFTPOS, Internet Banking and Phone Banking
- If your child is ten or under, you can have access to the account through ATM, EFTPOS, Internet Banking and Phone Banking
- The ability to set up and maintain bill payments, automatic payments and transfers
